Churches and other community venues across Gloucestershire are taking part in the biggest multi-venue nationwide quiz ever held this weekend.
The first Big Quiz Night was launched last November by Christian charity Tearfund when over 22,000 people took part in more than 500 quiz nights held simultaneously across the UK, raising £172,000 to help people lift themselves out of poverty.
This year, Tearfund are hoping that even more people will take part in the quiz, which involves up to 10 rounds of general knowledge questions delivered via video on the big screen at the same time that people across the UK are scratching their heads over the same questions.
Gloucestershire venues taking part in the quiz on Saturday evening include St George's Centre, Gloucester; Longhope Baptist Church; Bussage Village Hall, near Stroud; Forest Community Church, Cinderford; Wotton Baptist Church, Wotton under Edge and Bourton-on-the-Water Baptist Church.
