Have a Ball at Cinderella: The Pantomime

The festive season is here, and The Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury is bringing the magic to life with their spectacular pantomime, Cinderella.

Having just started and running until Saturday, January 4, this enchanting family-friendly production is bursting with laughter, adventure and festive spirit.

This year's pantomime is penned by the talented emerging writer Charlotte Swarbrick, whose fresh and imaginative take on the beloved fairytale promises plenty of surprises, humor and heartwarming moments.

The production is directed and produced by The Roses Theatre's director, Jessica Brewster, whose creative vision ensures a show that sparkles with magic and festive cheer.

Audiences will join Cinderella on her journey as she overcomes the schemes of her wicked stepsisters and finds her way to the royal ball with the help of her Fairy Godmother.

With a glittering cast, including the hilarious Bonnie Banks as the Dame, and plenty of audience participation, Cinderella is set to create memories to cherish for all ages.

One delighted attendee said of Cinderella: "Absolutely and utterly fantastic! From start to finish we giggled, roared, sang, danced, dodged, boo-ed, clapped, waved and more! Excellent singing, dancing & comedy from all. The super panto dame was on top form, The Prince was divine and Cinderella was a superstar! The dear ugly sisters, totally not ugly but hilarious, trendy and cool!

"Buttons and the Prince's helper were a hilarious double act. Incredible support ensemble, local actors and dancers performed their little hearts out."

Pantomimes are not just a festive highlight; they play a crucial role in the financial sustainability of The Roses Theatre, which receives no Arts Council England or core local government funding. By attending Cinderella, audiences directly contribute to the future of this much-loved venue and its ability to serve the community with year-round cultural programming.

Jessica Brewster, director of The Roses Theatre, said: "This year's pantomime is a true labour of love from our incredible creative team, and we can't wait to share it with our audience. Cinderella is packed with joy, surprises, and festive magic — the perfect way to celebrate the season. Have a ball with us at The Roses this Christmas!"

You can book tickets online through the Roses Theatre website or by calling 01684 274095.
