Go behind the scenes at Snowshill Manor this November
By David Wood
Visitors to Snowshill Manor will be able to see areas that are usually hidden from view such as secret doors, inside specially opened cabinets and curious niches.
Hear from volunteers how Charles Wade used his architectural design of the manor to magically appear and surprise his guests.

November is a great time to visit the manor if you are looking for a quieter visit and want to explore the collection at your own pace whilst seeing something a little bit special.
House and collections officer Alethea Dobinson-Law said: "We are thrilled to be showing visitors some new aspects of the Snowshill collection and to welcome them, as Mr Wade would have, with a sense of playfulness and theatricality."
You can start your visit to the manor with a short appetiser tour from expert volunteers highlighting the 'behind-the-scenes' parts of the manor.
Take the opportunity to visit the top floor, which will be closed to the public during November, and see conservation in action.
Behind the scenes tours are strictly limited, will last for approximately 30 minutes and cost £3. Pre-booking is essential and this can be done on the Snowshill Manor and Garden website.
Snowshill Manor and Garden is open weekends from 11 November - 3 December between 10.30am and 3.30pm.
