Gloucester's 'biggest family and music event'

'The biggest family and music event Gloucester has ever seen' kicks off this Saturday at the Walls Club.

The Summer Series 2022 involves two whole days of fun and entertainment at the venue. This Saturday (June 11) sees the Walls Show 2022 from 11am to 11pm, featuring music from the likes of Boyz on the Block, Hollie Cook, Duke, Klubkidz and The Little Mix Show.

On Saturday, August 6, it's the turn of 'Back to the Old Skool' with the Sugarhill Gang & Furious 5 playing, along with Jaguar Skills, Duke and Toploader, among others

Wayne Davis, events and operations at Walls Club, said: "We've all been hit by the pandemic in some kind of way, not being able to see family, friends and enjoy each other's company has been difficult for us all.

"Here at Walls Club we have decided to make it into something of our own that's bigger and better, it's certainly like never before. We have multiplied the fun, taken the acts and entertainment to a whole new level and amped up the level of local businesses and partnerships joining us ready to present to you two fantastic family fun-filled days for everyone of all ages to enjoy.

"Our aim is to bring everyone together again in a safe environment and provide Gloucester with the biggest family and music event it's ever seen!

"The Summer Series is very much a charity and community orientated event. Our three highlighted charities are National Star College, The Pied Piper Appeal and Increase The Peace. Three fantastic local charities who all do such fantastic jobs supporting children and families in Gloucester.

"The work they do is very close to our hearts here at Walls and we are honoured to be supporting them after what has been a tough time for us all. We have also involved other charities this year by donating tickets to families in need.

"We want everyone to feel included and have the option to come celebrate the summer with us. What's more, we are awarding Gloucester and Cheltenham Royal Hospital, as well as other surrounding hospitals in the area, free tickets for the staff to be able to take a day out with the family and have some well-earned fun!

"We want to appreciate the hard-working NHS staff in Gloucester and those in need by giving back.

"The Summer Series will consist of a main stage with brilliant live music and other entertainment throughout the day/evening alongside a funfair, inflatable activities, giant games, countless more fun activities, a food court with a wide range of offerings from local businesses, outside bars and multiple local business stalls.

This year Walls Club has partnered with Elmrep Office Solutions as main sponsors.

Lee Summers, managing director of Elmrep, said: "I am so pleased to support a fantastic local partnership with Walls Club that will bring people and families together in the community to enjoy a variety of events, after such a difficult few years. We at Elmrep are honoured to be included in the launch of the Summer Series this year and look forward to seeing you there."
