Gloucester Brewery to hold live music fundraiser

Gloucestershire-based organisation Read With Me are excited to be hosting an evening of live music, great food and even better beer, raising funds to improve children's literacy.

Currently 200,000 children leave primary school every year unable to read. This event will help Read With Me to fund the vital service it offers to schools, free of charge, that sees volunteers providing one-to-one reading time to children twice a week. This not only builds a child's confidence, but allows them to develop a skill that will greatly enhance their life chances.

Held at Gloucester Brewery's Warehouse 4 taproom on Thursday 20th April, the evening will feature live sets from SUSAN, Huw and The Greater Good and Pumpadelic. Three acts with their own distinct style; this event offers something for everyone.

A mixture of fresh, raw, irreverent alt rock (SUSAN), songs of self-discovery, triumph and heartache (Huw and The Greater Good) and funk-punk-pop-disco (Pumpadelic), this promises to be a night to remember.

To accompany the entertainment there will be a supper available, on a pay-as-you-feel basis. This can be washed down with some of Gloucester Brewery's sustainably crafted beers and gins, with soft drinks available.

There will also be a chance to win some great prizes during the raffle, with all proceeds helping to ensure every child in Gloucester learns to read well before they reach secondary school.

The money raised from this event will allow Read With Me to offer its programme in even more schools, as the demand for our service grows.

Tickets are just £10 and available via Read With Me's website. It promises to be a full evening of entertainment for a great cause.
