German National Orchestra set for Cheltenham concert
By David Wood | 19th December 2024
The brilliant German National Orchestra is coming to Cheltenham Town Hall in the New Year.
Featuring the very best young players performing in Germany, the orchestra will be conducted by the all-round phenomenon Wayne Marshall who will also be soloist in the sensational blend of jazz and classical music in Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.

The concert on Tuesday, January 14, at 7.30pm, will begin with Benjamin Britten's much-loved Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra, with its rousing finale.
The second half of the programme will feature a performance of one of the most popular works ever composed by a British composer - Gustav Holst's The Planets with its ominous, tantalising rhythms of Mars, the beauty of Venus, the grandeur of Jupiter and the mysterious ethereal music describing Neptune that finishes the work.
This concert, highlighting three of the most popular pieces of music ever composed, is not to be missed.
Please note, a £2 ticket commission fee is included in the price of the ticket.
