Gearing up for 'The Prom at the Cong'

Where: Stroud Congregational Church, Bedford Street, Stroud GL5 1AY (to the left of the Sub Rooms)

The Cirencester Eclectic String Band are performing 'The Prom at The Cong' in Stroud on Saturday, July 7.

Stroud Congregational Church is the venue for a concert of much-loved movie themes.

Admission on the door is by donation to church funds and tea and cake will be served after the concert.

The band generally plays all sorts of things from Baroque to Bartok, with a bit of Led Zeppelin thrown in. It strives for high standards, but welcomes string players of all abilities.

The band rehearses most Wednesdays between 8pm and 9:45pm at the Church Hall on Watermoor Road, Cirencester.
