Fun chance to learn a serious amount about wine

Where: The Isbourne Centre, 2 Wolseley Terrace, Cheltenham GL50 1TH

When: Sunday, October 7, for three Sundays

The Oxford Chelt Wine School is offering a course in Cheltenham that will build your wine knowledge and help you choose wine with more confidence.

The WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level 2 Award in Wine & Spirits is being run by Nick Gay, owner of the Oxford Chelt Wine School, at the Isbourne Centre.

Nick said: "For anyone pursuing a career in wine or hospitality, the WSET offers globally-recognised qualifications essential for your CV.

"And for the interested consumer, WSET Level 2 offers a terrific chance to learn more about wine in a fun, but structured and concentrated way, tasting over 40 wines over the three days.

"The course builds your wine knowledge and enables you to choose wine with more confidence, both when shopping for wine and when eating out.

"All our WSET courses are examined and accredited within the UK government's regulatory authority Ofqual; and our wine school is an Approved Programme Provider (APP) for WSET."

A Trip Advisor review, who completed the course as an 'enthusiastic amateur' with lots of drinking experience but little knowledge, described it as "a first-class course. It provided a really good mix of imparting information and practical wine tasting. Nick was a convivial host and font of knowledge."

The course costs £360 including VAT for three days' tuition, WSET study pack and exam fees.
