Full line-up revealed for Cheltenham Literature Festival 2017

A full line-up for this year's Cheltenham Literature Festival has been revealed with ten thrilling days of literary celebration, discussion and debate.
Around 1,000 speakers will take part in more than 550 events at the family-friendly Festival Village under the theme - Who Do We Think We Are? Sessions at the festival, which runs from October 6 to 15, will cover key questions about British identity and celebrate Britain's rich literary and cultural heritage.
The line-up includes Bill Nighy, Brian May, Charles Spencer, Russell Brand, Marcus Brigstocke, Al Murray, June Sarpong, Sarah Millican, Alison Steadman (pictured above), Ian Rankin, Peter Snow, Vince Cable, Mary Berry, Tom Kerridge, Amit Chaudhuri, Philippa Gregory, Joanne Harris, Alexander McCall Smith, Judith Kerr and Scarlett Moffatt.
They join those already announced including Salman Rushdie, Alan Hollinghurst, Michael Parkinson (pictured above), Sarah Waters, Miranda Hart, Matt Lucas, Robert Webb, Harry Enfield, Nadiya Hussain, Simon Schama, Paula Hawkins, Twiggy, Armando Iannucci, Nigella Lawson, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Roddy Doyle, Tom Daley and Judy Murray.
The diverse programme covers history, current affairs, visual art, sport, food, fashion, lifestyle, psychology, science and business as well as fiction, poetry and a family programme packed with events and workshops for toddlers to teens.
Five guest curators will bring fresh perspectives and voices to the Festival. This year they are Will Gompertz, BBC Arts Editor (pictured above); Sarah Moss, novelist, travel writer and academic; Robin Niblett, Director of Chatham House; Jess Phillips, Labour MP for Birmingham Yardley; and Nikesh Shukla, author, editor and campaigner.
As well as the revamped Festival Village, a series of themed events and fine dining takes place in The Daffodil and free after-hours comedy, spoken word and music at the Festival Club @ Hotel du Vin.
On the first Saturday night of the Festival, last year's highly successful Lit Crawl returns, transforming a bar crawl into a fast-paced night of free literary delights.
Booking for Cheltenham Festivals members opens at 1pm on Wednesday, August 30 and for the general public at 1pm on Wednesday, September 6.
