Easter fun at Slimbridge with giant duck hunt

Where: WWT Slimbridge

When: Friday, March 30, to Sunday, April 15

It's almost Easter once again and it's not just ducklings they're looking forward to welcoming at WWT Slimbridge.

A gaggle of giant yellow ducks have dropped in on the centre, hidden from sight of the rangers. And they need your help to find them all with your trusty pal, Dusty Duck!

Look high and low: around Swan Lake, peer into the boardwalk reeds, find them amongst flamingos, wade through Welly Boot Land and keep an eye on the Otter Pen to spot the cheeky Easter visitors.

Be sure to bring along as many helpers as you can - mums and dads, grannies and grandpas, aunts and uncles, friends and more. Successful seekers will receive a tasty treat on completion.

But where to begin? Pick up your free giant duck spotter guide from Slimbridge's friendly staff and volunteers on arrival, and don't forget a map and ID guide too.

The yellow invaders will try to camouflage themselves in amongst the resident animals so it'll give you a super advantage if you can tell your giant duck from your crested screamer and your otter from your axolotl.

Intrigued to learn your eider from your smew? Discover our feathered friends surrounding the giant yellow ducks, their habits and their habitats before moving on to the next hidden homunculus.

Be sure to pay a visit to Mini, Haha and Flo in the otter enclosure, have a chat with a tree frog in Toad Hall and say "hi" to some new species in the Discovery Hide at South Lake.

Dusty's giant Easter Duck Hunt is free to WWT members and free with admission to non-members.

If you're a non-member you can claim your day's admission fee back if you join when you visit.
