Dragon whisperer swoops in to castle for summer holidays

Where: Sudeley Castle, Winchcombe

When: July 26 to August 30, 2017

School's out and little knights and princesses can enjoy a host of entertainment throughout the holidays at a Winchcombe castle.

Every Wednesday from July 26 to August 30, Sudeley Castle & Gardens is hosting its hugely popular Children's Wednesday event.

Each day runs from 10am until 4pm and features storytelling with the Dragon Whisperer, Condensed Histories, giant games, a bouncy castle and arts and crafts.

On July 26, and August 9 and 23, Professor Collwobbles returns to the castle with his interactive Punch and Judy show and the Music Man will also be running sessions on August 2, 16 and 30.

Sian Jocelyn, visitor services manager, said: "We know it can be difficult to keep the children entertained throughout the holidays, but with a day a week dedicated to your little lords and ladies this summer, our Children's Wednesdays are the perfect solution.

"This summer's events are set to be bigger, better and even more popular than ever and we're looking forward to welcoming regular and new visitors alike for another special summer at Sudeley."

As well as special activities there is also a pheasantry, adventure playground with picnic area, gift shop and café in the banqueting hall.

Tickets are available to buy on the day and cost £14.95 for adults and £6 for children aged five to 15. Under-fives go free. All activities on Children's Wednesdays are included in the cost of admission or a 12-month pass.
