Crafts and carols at the Museum in the Park
By David Wood | 8th December 2021
Stroud's Museum in the Park will be getting all festive on its last day of opening before its month-long 'deep clean'.
On Saturday, December 19, from 3pm to 5pm Stroud Buzz Club will be organising Christmas crafts at the museum
You can drop in and make a lavender bag or try your hand at candle dipping or other festive wax and honey crafts. There will be a small charge per gift (50p - £1), pay on the door and please wear warm layers, coats and hats and bring a torch or lantern.
From 5pm, there will be Carols in the Courtyard at the museum. Everyone's invited to come together to sing some festive carols led by the inspiring choir leader Eleanor Holliday, with the talented Robert Kempner at the keyboard.
Wrap up warm and bring torches or lanterns. Song sheets will be available to help you remember the words. This is a standing event which will take place outside in the courtyard ... weather and circumstances permitting! There will be a break half way for warming drinks.
This event is free, donations welcome. Should the weather be too wet or inclement for outdoor singing, you can enjoy drinks inside and a last look at 'Merry Illuminations' by Alison Merry instead.
The Museum in the Park will be closed from December 20 until January 25.
