Craft Festival Cheltenham returns in November

A weekend of creativity and pre-Christmas shopping takes place at Cheltenham Town Hall from November 17th to 19th.

Bringing a burst of creativity and pre-Christmas cheer, Craft Festival Cheltenham will feature 100 of the finest professional designer-maker businesses, live craft demonstrations, a choice of craft workshops for adults to take part in, plus a host of festive children's activities on Saturday and Sunday.

Exhibitors at Craft Festival Cheltenham are selected by an independent panel of experts, and chosen for the quality and originality of their work. This ensures that only the best professional makers achieve one of the 100 coveted exhibitor places.

Makers at Craft Festival Cheltenham this November will be travelling from across the UK to exhibit and sell their work. Drawn from Truro in Cornwall to Fraserburgh in Aberdeenshire, and from Swansea in the west to Hastings in East Sussex - the best of British contemporary craft will be coming to Cheltenham.

Local Cotswold-based talented craft professionals are also exhibiting including Cheltenham-based ceramicist and designer Jayne Tricker, John Crossley of All in the Making returns for a second visit to show his fine handmade chairs, stools and tables, as does Loopy Ewes with her sustainable knitwear and homeware from nearby Royal Wootton Bassett.

Sarah James MBE, director of Craft Festival, said: "It's a challenging and rewarding task for our independent panel to select just 100 professional makers to take part in Craft Festival Cheltenham. The quality of the application is phenomenal.

"We were overwhelmed by the feedback from makers and customers following our last show in Cheltenham back in March, so we're excited to bring the event back for its second annual pre-Christmas Festival this November."

Over 2,500 visitors visited Craft Festival Cheltenham in March 2023.

Commenting on their experience at Craft Festival Cheltenham in March, maker Penny Warren said: "Craft Festival Cheltenham has reached a magical 'sweet spot' where it's become known, loved and trusted by exhibitors and customers alike. It's buzzy, busy and a really happy place to be!"

The festival is open Friday and Saturday from 10am to 5pm, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday at Cheltenham Town Hall, Imperial Square.

Tickets are available at the Craft Festival Cheltenham website. Adult tickets from £7. Children under 18 years enter free with an adult ticket holder.
