Cirencester's BBQ and smokehouse Cheeky Swine is to host its inaugural Cider and Sausage Festival on Saturday, October 19.
The Arkell's Brewery pub will play host to a number of ciders from across the country while Cirencester's Oink Butchery will take care of supplying them with a variety of different flavoured sausages.
The Bees Knees, the pub where Cheeky Swine is based, is hosting the free one-day sausage-fest as part of a series of community events the pub has hosted this year, including, charity nights, a music and food festival, SwineFest and now, The Cider and Sausage Festival, that will run from 12pm on Saturday.
Neil Johnston, proprietor and head chef of Cheeky Swine, said: "There are many German-themed events in October, resembling or copying the Oktoberfest. We wanted to do something different and celebrate Britain, the Cotswolds' and our great produce.
"I think our farms and producers are some of the best in the country and what is more West Country than cider, another great export of the region."
