Church offers oasis to shoppers at Minster Merriment

Where: Minster Church, Well Walk, Cheltenham

When: Saturday, December 7, 10.30am to 3pm

Weary Cheltenham Christmas shoppers are being offer a free hog roast, a glass of mulled wine and Christmas carols this Saturday...what more could you ask for?

Minster Merriment is being held at Minster Church off Well Walk from 10.30am to 3pm.

As well as the complimentary hog roast, there will be roast chestnuts and hot drinks, with crafts for children and adults alike.

There will be 30-minute Carol services at 11am, 12 noon and 1pm with a Christmas Concert by the Minster Singers at 2pm.

The Nativity Photobooth will be waiting for your children to dress up and there'll be plenty of fun, or a place to sit and relax mid-way through your shopping.

A spokesman for the church said: "We've been doing it for a number of years. It's a really popular event and loads of people turn up."
