Cheltenham Racecourse celebrates Ladies Day at Royal Ascot

Where: Cheltenham Racecourse

When: Thursday, June 20, from 11.30am

The glitz and glamour of an historic race day will be celebrated in style at Cheltenham Racecourse next week.

Ladies are being invited along to the venue as it plays host to 'A Taste of Royal' on Ladies Day where the racecourse has organised an array of activities in honour of the Gold Cup at Ascot on Thursday, June 20, and bookings are being taken now.

Beautiful views will be offered to guests from the racecourse's renowned Panoramic Restaurant. Ladies will get a two-course lunch and a complimentary glass of fizz, as well as a talk from a tipster, and prizes for the best dressed.

There will also be a shopping showcase including clothing, hair and make-up advice from some of the venue's partners including Arkell and Wills, Bhoid, Guinea, John Lewis and Partners Cheltenham, Simon Smith and Lisa von Hallwyl.

All races will be televised live from Ascot including The Queen's arrival for the Royal Meeting, and there will also be betting facilities on hand and a race card.

Lee Moulson, regional head of sales at Cheltenham Racecourse, urged ladies to go all out for the day and get dressed up.

"We're urging guests to go above and beyond with their outfits this year. The best dressed will receive a fantastic prize, so we're expecting some friendly competition between our guests," he said.

"A Taste of Royal is our chance to celebrate Ascot and the Gold Cup and have a bit of fun along the way.

"The Panoramic Restaurant is the perfect venue for something like this as you have the beautiful views of the Cotswolds hills and all the fun, finery and excitement of this historic event. Book now to avoid disappointment."

A Taste of Royal will begin at 11.30am on the day with a sparkling wine reception, and the last race is scheduled for 5.35pm.

Prizes up for grabs include A Race Day package for two at Cheltenham Racecourse, in the Gold Cup Restaurant on a select race day (not festival) to include tickets, car park pass, dining and race cards.

There is also a complete style and beauty experience, courtesy of John Lewis & Partners Cheltenham and then a £250 gift voucher from Guinea.
