Cathedral's Junior Choir ready to lead Choral Evensong
By David Wood | 15th November 2019
Where: Gloucester Cathedral
When: Saturday, November 16, 4.30pm
Tomorrow (Saturday, November 16) at 4.30pm all are invited to join the Choral Evensong at Gloucester Cathedral which will be sung by the Cathedral Junior Choir.
The choir is made up of children aged 5 to 10 years. Whether you're a regular, or have never been to an Evensong Service before, this will be the perfect time to come along and experience the beauty of young voices in the magnificent surroundings of Gloucester Cathedral.
This particular service will be a wonderful occasion for the Cathedral's youngest singers to raise their voices in song and praise in the historic Quire.
The Junior Choir is an unauditioned choir, open to those who are passionate about singing and keen to work hard to learn to perform at their very best. Currently, members represent around 15 different schools from the diocese.
The choirs play a key role in the Cathedral's very popular Family Eucharists on the second Sunday of each month, as well as singing at other high-profile events throughout the Christian year.
If your child may be interested in joining, please visit the Gloucester Cathedral website.
