A Gloucestershire castle is preparing to go batty to celebrate Halloween with a week of themed activities for all the family.
From October 23-29, Sudeley Castle & Gardens is hosting a variety of scary events for its Halloweek extravaganza. Spooky storytelling, batty crafts and creepy trails are sure to keep both young and old enthralled throughout half-term.
The Halloween highlight will be on Wednesday, October 25 when the castle will welcome a very special visitor, Batman himself, complete with his iconic Batmobile.
Kim Gibbon, visitor services manager at Sudeley Castle & Gardens, said: "Halloweek is always a brilliant week of spooky celebrations here at the castle, and this year's batty spectacular is set to be our most exciting half-term Halloweek yet.
"The castle and grounds are the perfect place to be at this time of year, as we often hear of sightings of a range of regular 'visitors' to the castle, so keep your eyes peeled for our resident ghosts. You never know who may make a surprise appearance over Halloween!"
Halloweek activities run from 10am-4pm daily are included with general admission price or season tickets.
Sudeley Castle & Gardens is the only private castle in England to have a queen buried within the grounds. Katherine Parr, the last of Henry VIII's six wives, is entombed in a beautiful 15th century church found within the award-winning gardens.
