Capture your day out at WWT Slimbridge to win £250

Where: WWT Slimbridge

When: Until September 5, 2017

Young wildlife documentary-makers can try their hand at capturing magical moments at WWT Slimbridge as it launches a Summer Movie Competition.

The competition is part of Dusty's Wildlife Rangers, a summer-long event of family activities and adventure, and the winner will be awarded £250 worth of prizes, including shop vouchers and family membership to all of WWT's UK wetland centres.

Visitors are being invited to choose between the categories of Dusty's Wildlife Rangers Best Day Ever (#BestDayEver) and Wetland Wildlife at Slimbridge (#LoveSlimbridge) and make a 90-second long movie masterpiece using both film and still images.

Gary Haseley-Nejrup, WWT Slimbridge General Manager said: "We're so excited about the Summer Movie Competition.

"You don't need all-singing, all-dancing filming equipment to make a show-stopping movie, just a smart phone will do. We've chosen two categories that we think families will love getting creative with.

"Best Day Ever is all about catching your day of Wildlife Ranger action and adventure on camera; whether that's filming your friends and family on a canoe safari or going on a reed bed adventure in Nature Detectives.

"And for the budding David Attenboroughs, Wetland Wildlife at WWT is about seeing things from a bird's eye view - spotting the characteristics of your favourite animals that others might miss and showing their behaviours and habitats on camera."

To enter like @WWTSlimbridge on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and share your movie using the hashtags #BestDayEver or #LoveSlimbridge, depending on your film category.

The competition is open for entries until September 5. Children under 18 will need consent from a parent or guardian.
