A funny and thought-provoking piece of theatre is coming to Gloucester in the lead-up to the Strike a Light Festival.

Partus is a story of love, fear, joy, resilience and bravery which will strike a chord with mums, their friends, midwives and those thinking about starting a family.
The show, a co-production by Third Angel and Sheffield Theatres, takes the form of a community centre meeting to talk about birth experiences.
Lisa had been for a walk in the park. Stacey had borrowed her best friend's dress. Faye had collected her daughter from nursery. Hannah was in the 12th hour of a shift with no sign of a break. Kirsty knew no-one would believe who she really was. Rachael was ready for a fight. Linda was on call. Lucy only just made it.
There will be a baby-friendly performance of Partus on Wednesday, September 27 at 10.30am so parents can enjoy a trip to the theatre without worrying about disturbing the rest of the audience. It is recommended for babes in arms, under 12 months old, and is not suitable for toddlers.
The evening show on September 26 starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 and £5 for the baby-friendly performance.
