Battle of the Bands postponed until August 17

Gloucester's Kings Square management team have announced that the Battle of the Bands will now be taking place on Saturday, August 17.

This comes on the back of its postponement from June 29 due to reasons outside of the team's control.

All bands that had already made it to the live final have been guaranteed a space on the new date, and applications will once again open to allow any bands who are still interested in being a part of Battle of the Bands to submit their band's entries.

There will be a panel of guest judges at the official Battle of the Bands event, with the winning band or artist receiving a recording session at The Music Works worth £300. This will be a one-day recording session in the main studio, including the services of a sound engineer/producer, instruments and backline if required, to track and produce a live recording of the artist/band's chosen track.

Jason Robinson, senior destination manager for the four sites managed by Colliers, said: "We apologise for having to postpone the event but are incredibly excited to bring Battle of the Bands to Kings Square in August.

"This allows the bands already through to the live final a little more time to perfect their sets, as well as offering bands who weren't available for the original date in June the opportunity to enter should they be able to make the new date in August."
