Alternative rock bands making their mark

There's an exciting double bill in store for alternative rock lovers at Café René in Gloucester on Friday evening (December 14).
Future Kings are a four-piece indie/alternative-rock band hailing from Gloucestershire. With a unique sound that draws on elements from artists such as Foals, Arctic Monkeys, Black Keys, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bloc Party, the band combines a focus on powerful vocals and infectious melodies, with coruscating guitar riffs and high-energy live performances.
Having began in 2015 under the name Muchos Tequilas Later, the band have re-emerged in 2017 with a new name, line-up and a re-release of their debut EP Ride.
Elessar UK are a four-piece alternative rock band originating in the South-West. Formed in 2016, the band has become renowned for energetic and passionate live performances.
Elessar have focused on touring relentlessly across the UK, building audiences in major cities including Leeds, Birmingham and London, as well as solidifying a strong local following within the Gloucestershire area.
In April 2016 they released their debut EP Reflections. Since then, Elessar have honed in further on a unique sound which is encapsulated in their latest five-track release Is This All We Are.
The release of 'I.T.A.W.A' and their gripping live performances will see the band conquering venues and expanding their fanbase, as they make their mark on the British rock scene,
The gig starts at 11pm. Entry is free before 11pm and £3 after.
