A Tale of Two Hoards at Corinium Museum

Gloucestershire finds liaison officer Kurt Adams will tell the tale of two remarkable Roman hoards during an afternoon talk at Corinium Museum on Thursday, July 26, from 2-3pm.
The talk will feature the Thornbury coin hoard which includes over 11,000 Roman coins, and the amazing dog hoard which features a unique standing dog statuette.
Kurt will discuss how these hoards were found, how they have benefited their local museum and, most importantly, how they have shed new light on to the archaeology of the area.
The Corinium Museum tells the story of archaeology across the Cotswolds with an emphasis on discoveries from Roman Corinium. A vibrant temporary exhibition programme takes place throughout the year.
