A magical live action family day out at Cirencester Park

An interactive story trail is taking place in the woods at Cirencester Park Thursdays- Sundays this summer featuring Lavender woodland fairy, Simon the roar-less dinosaur and a collection of other magical creatures.

Designed for children aged two to ten, the Adventures of Lavender and the Lost Roar is a woodland walk with a difference. Hidden around every tree there are magical characters and fantastic creatures for inquisitive explorers to discover, and solving a mystery is at the heart of the experience.

The trail follows the story of Lavender the woodland fairy who is searching for the lost roar of her best friend, Simon the dinosaur who has been shouting for Millenia that we need to start looking after the planet. Each family group who takes part has a magical woodland guide to accompany them along the trail who will not only tell them their own adventures of living in the woodland but will also introduce them to other characters along the way.

Perhaps Flumpkin the squirrel or Flash the wise frog can help as they make a wish on a 'Wish-A-Plop' stone so that Simon can find his roar again. The character will introduce them to lots of other new friends and help them solve the mystery of the Whispering Woods.

At just under 1.2km, the trail is the perfect length for little legs and usually takes around 60 minutes to complete. With so many things to look out for, there's no danger of children getting bored, and each intrepid explorer will receive their very own wish-a-plop stone to take away with them, plus a sweet treat (freshly baked by Flumpkin squirrel).

Tickets are @12.50 per person, or £40 for a family ticket (two adults and two children).
