Series 4 #14 Punchline Talks! With Phil Vickery, Liam Evans, Hayley Parker and Neill Ricketts

Each Friday, Punchline-Gloucester.com editor Mark Owen is joined by leading Gloucestershire business figures from a range of backgrounds to review Fridays national & regional newspapers, discuss what is happening in their own business sector and in their own individual businesses.

Finally, they round off by picking the stories that have caught their eye in this week's Punchline-Gloucester.com.

Taking their places on the business briefing panel this week were:

Phil Vickery - owner of Raging Bull clothing and No3 Restaurant and non-executive director of Creed Foodservice - England rugby world cup and master chef winner and Gloucester rugby & sour dough making legend.

Liam Evans - Assistant principle at SGS (South Gloucestershire and Stroud College), which has five sites, over 1000 staff with a turn over of approx. £35-40million. He has worked his way up from marketing assistant to one below the principle - not bad going.

Hayley Parker - director and founder of OPS-BOX Group Ltd who started the business with fellow director Richard Neale at the very start of the pandemic and first week of lockdown and has grown it to have five members of staff and a pretty impressive client bank - ranging from SME to over £40m turnover companies.

Finally last but not least - a regular on the show and today's super sub - Neill Ricketts - CEO of Versarien - the advanced engineering materials group - leading the field in graphene - the company recently tied up a clothing development deal with clothing company Superdry.

It is a lively informative chat with the panel working their way through the national papers before getting behind the nitty gritty of their own businesses and market place.

The panel fire through lots of subjects, with news and views and there is something to learn for everyone who is interested in business from the people who are at the sharp end of running their companies.

It is well worth the investment of time to listen to three top experts - in business you never stop learning.
