Punchline Talks! The BiG interview with Phil McCormick, MD and owner of Nicks Timber Ltd

Watch Punchline's latest The B!G Interview with Phil McCormick MD and owner of Nicks Timber Ltd - the oldest continually owned family business in the county, established in 1856.

When Nick first arrived at the company in the early 80's, there were 11 other timber companies along the canal coming into the city. Its from Gloucester and its railway connection that the timber yards would distribute the timber all over the county.

Today they are the only timber company left and supply Jewsons, Wicks, B&Q and other builders merchants - they have a turnover of over £5million and employ nearly 30 people.

A really great story of survival, passion, experience and love of a business that Phil took over by accident, it's worth a watch! Providing a fantastic glimpse into the timber industry, the building/construction trade and overall what it takes to run a successful business.
