Taking their places on the business briefing panel this week were:
- Ian Mean, director of Business West, vice chairman of GFirst LEP board, ex-chairman of GHURC, ex-editor of Gloucester Citizen, Cheltenham Echo and Western Daily Press. Choir master that doesn't sing - probably a good thing.
- Serena Gay - founder and md of Made4U Podcasts - ex BBC journalist and BBC World Service, Podcaster and character voice over artist.
- Imam Hassan - Masjid-e-Noor Mosque in Gloucester (fondly known as Ryecroft Street Mosque) The Imam of the local community in Gloucester, Hassam is passionate supporter of the city. He is the spiritual leader of the Muslim community but also technically the CEO of the membership organisation. He has seen a huge rise in the number of new members to the mosque and welcomes over 700 regular worshipers every Friday prayers.
- Matthew Burke is the principle of St Edward's Senior and junior Schools in Cheltenham. He is technically the CEO - the school have a turnover of between £10-12million, 650 pupils and over 150 staff.
It is a lively informative chat with the panel working their way through the national papers before getting behind the nitty gritty of their own businesses and marketplace.
The panel fire through lots of subjects, with news and views and there is something to learn for everyone who is interested in business from the people who are at the sharp end of running their companies.
