Taking their places on the business briefing panel this week were:
- Moreton Cullimore - managing director of Cullimore Group - gravel and transportation company with over 90 years of history, they employ 97 staff with a turnover of between £14million - £15million. Moreton is also the Chairman of the Road Haulage Association (RHA).
- Greg Pilley - managing director of Stroud Brewery, established in 2006 as a passion project by Greg, it makes great tasting, ethical and organic beer. The company employ over 100 staff and has a turnover of approx. £2million. Also has a great restaurant.
- Jason Wasley - managing director of Aqua Construction, the company is celebrating 25 years in business this year, it employs 30 staff with a current turnover of approx. £6.5million.
- Alex Cottrell - manager of the Gloucester Growth Hub (one of six in the county). Since its launch in 2014 the Growth Hubs have engaged with over 9,000 businesses and secured over £9.4million of investment.
It is a lively informative chat with the panel working their way through the national papers before getting behind the nitty gritty of their own businesses and marketplace.
The panel fire through lots of subjects, with news and views and there is something to learn for everyone who is interested in business from the people who are at the sharp end of running their companies.
