E159 Punchline Talks! with Joshua Taee, Enzo Mora and Roger Head
By Mark Owen | 28th June 2024
Each Friday, Punchline-Gloucester.com editor Mark Owen is joined by leading Gloucestershire business figures from a range of backgrounds to review Friday's national and regional newspapers, and discuss what is happening in their own business sector and in their own individual businesses.
Finally, they round off by picking the stories that have caught their eye in this week's Punchline-Gloucester.com.
The Business Breakfast Briefer show is sponsored by Hazlewoods Accountants and Business Advisors.
This week's panel of experts were:
Joshua Taee - CEO of Huffkins bakery and tearooms, which has eight tearooms and concessions in three John Lewis stores, including one on Oxford Street. The company famously exports their cakes to Japan, where people queue around the block to try them! They have 130 to 140 staff, with a turnover of £6.5 million and own a hotel in Broadway (the Cotswolds, not the USA!). Find out about the hospitality sector and tourism in the Cotswolds.
Enzo Mora - CEO of The Mortgage Brain - the company has 110 staff covering the UK, with the majority of the based in Gloucester on Brunswick Road. Turnover hit £6 million last year. We find out how the mortgage market is faring and, more importantly, the housing sector.
Roger Head - chairman of the board of The Pied Piper Appeal and owner of Highnam Court and its fabulous famous gardens. He's a successful entrepreneur and co-owner of several business parks and trading estates in Gloucestershire, including Longhope Business Park - increasing it to over 200,000 sq ft of mixed-use businesses. We find out how the commercial property market is faring.
The show is jam packed as always.
