Gloucestershire charity, the Hollie Gazzard Trust, is growing with the addition of two young trustees.

Nick Gazzard, chairman (pictured), said: "Both have skill sets that will bring something different to the board."

Charlotte Purnell, 20, is the charity's first marketing and communications trustee and hopes to bring some of her professional skills to the role.

Charlotte (pictured right) said: "After qualifying as a web developer at Gloucestershire College, I went straight into a role in website administration and marketing. I have followed the Hollie story and Trust via their social media and so was aware of the good work they were doing in the area and the UK as a whole. It is a pleasure to now be involved."

The growth of the Trust has allowed the board to create a new position of finance manager. Victoria Maskell (pictured left), 31, is an experienced operational finance and governance manager.

She said: "My previous employer ran several charity days for the Trust, which is how I first heard about the work that Nick and his family were doing.

"The values and goals of the Trust really resonate with me on a personal level. I have wanted to volunteer for a charity for a long time and when I saw the advert for a finance trustee it seemed like a perfect fit."

Nick Gazzard said: "The Hollie Gazzard Trust is going from strength to strength and I am involved with projects across the country. I believe that we are getting the message out there about stalking, abusive relationships and behaviour as well as raising awareness of the dangers of knife crime."

Charlotte and Victoria were introduced to the other trustees in the new 'Hollie Suite' in the Kind Edward VII pub in Gloucester, in memory of Hollie Gazzard.

The Hollie Gazzard Trust supports young hairdressers and charities fighting domestic abuse and anti-knife crime.
