WSP Solicitors and The Nelson Trust launch drop-in clinic

WSP Solicitors and The Nelson Trust have united to provide a drop-in clinic in Gloucester for women who access the trust to get specialist family law assistance.

The Nelson Trust is a charity that brings belief, hope and long-term recovery to people whose lives have been torn apart by addiction and the multiple and complex needs that come with it.

They provide residential addiction treatment to men and women. They also support women in the community who are in contact with the criminal justice system.

The award-winning women's centres are based in six locations across the South West and Wales, offering both practical and emotional support for women within key areas of their lives.

Their clients are women and girls with multiple and complex needs and who are either in, or at risk of becoming involved in, the criminal justice system in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Bristol and Wales.

The drop-in clinic with WSP Solicitors is designed to offer accessible legal advice and assistance to women who access the Nelson Trust. They started on Friday, October 21st and will take place every four weeks. It will be staffed by Amara McCalla and Lydia Hackett from WSP Solicitors' growing family law department.

Of the partnership, Camella Cephas, director and head of children & care law, has said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for WSP to work closely with a local charity truly aligned with our values as a business. We are looking forward to working with the Nelson Trust and supporting our local community."

Faith Sanderson, regional manager for the South West, said: "We are truly delighted to welcome WSP Solicitors to Gloucester Women's Centre and are really grateful for the support they are offering. This partnership will have a real impact on women who may not otherwise be able to access this vital advice and support. We want to thank WSP for their time and dedication to their local community."
