The first phase of a giant new business park for Gloucestershire has been completed with the opening being marked by it securing its first new tenant.
The St Modwen Park development close to junction 12 of the M5 Motorway is a speculative development by St Modwen.
The first phase of the development is 174,000 square feet of space in three new units - one of which has already been let.
The development is expected to create 230 jobs when completed with the 44,861 sq ft, 56,262 sq ft and 73,597 sq ft unites providing well-located space ideal for industrial and logistics businesses.
The 58-acre site is located next to junction 12 of the M5 with opportunities available to meet specific occupier requirements across the site of up to 400,000 square feet.
Peter Davies, Development Director at St. Modwen Industrial and Logistics, said: "St. Modwen Park Gloucester is an important strategic site for our continued delivery of high-quality industrial and logistics space.
"The market demand for schemes of this nature within the Gloucestershire area is high, which is evidenced with one unit already let to a leading heating specialist."
Richard Harman, Partner at DTRE, added: "Market demand for the scheme has been particularly high due to its proximity to the M5 motorway.
"It's therefore no surprise that St. Modwen has acted swiftly to deliver three high-specification warehouses here.
"Discussions have been underway with prospective occupiers since the back end of last year and we look forward to welcoming new occupiers soon."
Adrian Rowley, Partner at Alder King, added: "This is a prime location and home to an array of quality warehousing units, all ideal for manufacturing and logistics firms.
"We're confident these new units will attract a number of high-calibre occupiers."
