UPDATE: Two arrested on 'suspicion perverting justice' following serious collision in Gloucester

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice following the collision in Gloucester yesterday involving a car and a pedestrian.
Police confirmed on Monday afternoon that the arrests had been made and that both people remain in police custody.
A woman, who was a pedestrian on Finlay Road suffered serious injuries in the incident that occurred at around 5.30pm.
The woman who is in her 50s and from Gloucester was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where she remains in a serious condition.
Police are keen to hear from any witnesses who have yet to speak to them about the incident by calling 101 and quoting incident 266 of January 5.
