Witness appeal for Stroud attempted robbery

Officers are appealing for information following an attempted robbery in Stroud which took place at the weekend.

Police were contacted on Sunday (28 November) and informed that a man had been targeted whilst walking along Slad Road at around 6pm.

It was reported that the victim was walking along the road, near to the Fountain Pub, when he was stopped by an unknown man who threatened him with a knife before demanding money.

The offender was confronted by the victim before leaving on foot. He was described as being 5ft 10ins tall, in his 20s, of a slim build and had a local accent. He was wearing all black clothing with a dark woolly hat and face covering.

Officers conducted searches of the area but could not find the man. The victim was not injured and did not have anything stolen from him.
