Witness appeal following fatal collision

A man has died following a collision on the A38 Cole Avenue in Gloucester this morning.

The collision occurred shortly before 8.33am and involved a lorry and a pedal cycle. The cyclist, aged in his 40s, suffered serious injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

The road was closed between Firwood Drive and Epney Road crossroad while collision investigators were in attendance but the closure has since been lifted.

Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any information which would help them with their enquiries.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 and quote incident 79 of 29 November.
