Who in Gloucestershire made the Forbes Rich List 2018?

Unfortunately, not a single business mover and shaker within Gloucestershire hit the top spot. Our closest super rich relative who made the cut at number #321 is James Dyson, the inventor of the Dual Cyclone bagless vacuum cleaner, who owns a Georgian Estate in South Gloucestershire. Dyson has an estimated net worth of just over 5.6 billion US dollars and sits above many other British business leaders on the list including Richard Branson and Sports Direct CEO Michael Ashley.

Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon has stepped above Bill Gates, founder of the Microsoft Corporation in this year's Forbes Rich list to grasp the top spot.

'The World's Billionaires' is an annual ranking document displaying the net worth of the world's wealthiest billionaires that is compiled and published in March every year by the American business magazine Forbes.

This total net worth is calculated as an estimate based on their documented assets and accounting of all current debt. Royalty and anyone where wealth comes from their positions are excluded from these lists. A record 2,208 billionaires made the ranking this year with the gap between the top 1% continuing to widen.
