In a video on Facebook, Hillside Brewery in Huntley have declared they are to close at the end of August. After eight years in the business, holding many events, the company has decided to "move onto new pastures".
Manager Paul Williamson said: "I just want to let you all know that unfortunately Hillside Brewery is going to be closing at the end of August. I just want to say on behalf of myself and Hillside Brewery, we want to thank you so much for all your support over the last few years
"We've had some great events, we've made some great friendships, we love the location, we love the people. We just feel that the time has come for us to move on.
"More than anything we just want to say that we really, really appreciate you, we thank you for all your support, all your friendship and all the good times you've had with us.
"Like a good friend said to us, don't be sad because it's over, smile because it happened."
The company has one more event left, an outdoor cinema screening, and will keep its shop open until the end of the month to get rid of stock but will then permanently close.
Customers and fans were devasted in the comments of the Facebook post.
One fan said: "Really sad to hear this news guys. Have enjoyed so many events with you all from bonfire night, car nights, quiz nights to your Christmas party nights. And by far one of the best fun and interesting brewery tours I've ever done. Will miss you guys and definitely will miss your beer!!"
