Well-known Cheltenham bar set to re-open

Back in March, the nightlife in Cheltenham suffered a blow with the sudden closure of a popular town centre party bar.

Known for its authentic German steins, tasty food and dancing on benches, the Bierkeller is set for a welcomed return in September.

Originally opened in May 2016, the venue was known for the big parties it hosted as well as its quiz nights with hosts Quizmaster Gaz and DJ Nick.

On its Facebook post to customers, the bar said: "It's not fake news, the rumours are true and you are not dreaming! The brand new and improved Bierkeller is coming to Cheltenham very soon...again".

It goes on to reveal its grand reopening - at the same location on the Bath Road - will take place on Friday September 14th and Saturday 15th.

Here at Punchline we are excited that an establishment so pivotal to Cheltenham's nightlife economy is seeing a return and we wish it every success in its future.
