WARNING: Gloucestershire road to close for 21 nights

The A417 Ledbury Road, Redmarley is due to be closed for approximately 21 days (excluding weekends, with the exception of Saturday, June 24, 2023, and bank holidays) between the hours of 19:00 to 07:00.

The planned start and end dates are currently Friday, May 26, to Saturday, June 24, 2023.

This work will be resurfacing the road at the above location as part of a promise to invest a further £100 million in the county's roads. Due to the type of engineering activities required with carriageway resurfacing, these types of road closure can cover an area greater than the area being resurfaced, to allow activities, such as movement and placement of machinery and material.

Under Sections 14, 15 & 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, a Temporary Traffic Order has been placed to close the road and ensure safety of road users and the workforce completing the resurfacing. In accordance with the Temporary Traffic Order, no persons or vehicles are permitted to proceed along the closed roads; except for pedestrian access to properties, emergency vehicles, and statutory undertakers responding to an emergency.

Therefore, if you normally drive into or out of this area during the hours when the road closure is in place, you are asked to make alternative arrangements.
