Vistry managers win the house!

Four site managers working in Gloucestershire have swept the board in new awards from the National House Building Council (NHBC).

The managers, who all work for Vistry Group, are currently engaged in projects for the Group's Bovis Homes and Linden Homes across the county and their stand-out work has seen them honoured for professionalism, drive and attention to detail.

Don Jeynes, build director at Vistry Cotswolds, said: "We are incredibly proud to have four site managers, who are all working in the same county, claim this prestigious NHBC award. Knowing them as I do, I can attest that the accolade is just reward for all the hard work, dedication and attention to detail that these consummate professionals put into their job every single day.

"At Vistry Cotswolds, we put our customers front and centre of everything that we do and the drive to give them the ultimate homebuying experience has helped drive this success. We now wish all four site managers the very best for the next stage of the NHBC awards."

The winners are: Chris Cull (above), from Bovis Homes' Spectre Hill location on the edge of Cheltenham. Craig Doyle, from Bovis Homes' and Linden Homes' Oaklands in Hunts Grove, Victor Gheti, from Linden Homes' Millfields in Cam and Sean Goode, from Linden Homes' Great Oldbury in Stonehouse. The four receive Quality Awards in this year's NHBC Pride in the Job competition.

Sean, who began his career in the industry as a forklift truck driver, is no stranger to awards success as he won a Quality Award and a Seal of Excellence from the NHBC for his work at Great Oldbury last year.

Sean said: "Although I won the Seal of Excellence last year, I am still absolutely thrilled to win the Quality Award again this year."

Chris, 33, a father-of-two from Cheltenham, joined Bovis Homes six years ago as an assistant site manager.

Chris said: "I am delighted to win this award. Spectre Hill is the first site where I have been in overall control, so to be recognised in this way is really special. After I found out, I spent the next three hours ringing everyone who had helped me get there - my family and everyone on the fabulous team I have supporting me at Bovis Homes."

Victor, a 32-year-old father-of-two from Bristol, added: "I was elated when the Area Build Director Adam Elvin called me to tell me I had won the Quality Award. There is no real secret for this success - it is just a case of a lot of hard work with everyone involved pulling in the same direction."

Craig, a 33-year-old father-of-two who lives in Worcester, said: "Although it is my name on the award, I will be accepting it on behalf of, and thanks to, my team. I have been fortunate to be able to surround myself with a group of people who buy into my vision which is to always produce top quality properties that we are proud of and that our customers are happy to call home."

The NHBC's Seal of Excellence and Regional Awards will follow later in the year; for this first round of the competition, the developments of around 8,000 site managers were inspected. Vistry Group was formed in 2020 and includes Linden Homes, Bovis Homes and Countryside Homes.
