A417 in Gloucestershire open again following three-hour closure due to vehicle fire

The A417  in Gloucestershire has reopened to traffic following a vehicle fire on Tuesday morning.

Police and the Fire Service were called to a section of the road near Nettleton Bottom at around 11am on Tuesday morning after a vehicle caught fire.

It led to the closure of the road from the Air Balloon roundabout through to the junction with the A429 in Cirencester.

The road was closed for around three hours while work took place to clear up after the fire, with Highways England confirming it had reopened at around 2pm.
