Two Rivers takes control of fresh properties

Two Rivers Housing has completed the handover of 12 new affordable home at Tutshill.

The Newent-based housing association took 18 properties on the Birch Drive site last year, including six shared ownership homes and the last 12 properties ifeature six one-bedroom flats, five two-bedroom and one three-bedroom house.

They will be let as affordable rented homes to people with a connection to Gloucestershire after the site was developed with family Butlerwall Homes who are based in Pontypool, South Wales.

Two Rivers development manager Sara Walton said: "When choosing a development partner, we are looking for a team that is as committed to delivering quality homes as Two Rivers.

"I am really pleased with the quality of the homes that Butlerwall have produced and look forward to working with them in the future."

Butlerwall project manager Tom Parry said: "From start to finish it's been a real pleasure working with Two Rivers - as a family-run and owned developer we invest a lot in the homes we build and are committed to finishing our homes to the highest standard and specification."

Two Rivers Housing manages more than 4,000 homes across Gloucestershire and the surrounding counties.

In 2018, the housing association pledged to build 1,000 new affordable homes in the area by 2028 and since lockdown restrictions have eased, it has made 75 new homes available across the county.
