Two Gloucestershire law firms rank high in Chambers and Partners high net worth directory

Gloucestershire based BPE Solicitors has retained its Band Two ranking in the Chambers & Partners High Net Worth directory of recommended lawyers for another year.

BPE has more than 130 staff, including 70 fee-earners. The firm has its headquarters in Cheltenham with other offices in South Gloucestershire and London, as well as access points in Cirencester, Bristol and Oxford.

Charles Russell Speechlys, a private wealth law firm with an office in Cheltenham was ranked in Band One.

BPE's Private Wealth team welcomed three new solicitors in 2020: Jessica Beddows (Partner), Tom Bird (Senior Associate) and John Pengilley (Associate), helping to retain the team's Tier Two ranking.

The team advises clients on all matters in relation to estate planning and powers of attorney. Jessica, who joined the team in October 2020 adds to this with a specialism in supporting vulnerable clients and families, particularly those with children with learning and/or physical disability.

Joint heads of the Private Wealth team are also both ranked by Chambers: Peter Tyrrell now sits in Band 1 while Jessica Beddows is in Band 2. These rankings reflect not only their considerable expertise in their field but the strength and depth of experience the whole team offers to high net worth individuals.

Senior Partner, John Workman commented: "Over the last 12 months, BPE's Private Wealth team has worked incredibly hard to advise their clients on all private wealth matters from inheritance planning and protecting assets to business protection. I'm delighted to see Peter, Jess, and the whole team recognised by Chambers once again for their expertise and approach to advising clients."

Chambers and Partners is an independent legal directory which undertakes research annually, collating feedback from both clients and peers in order to rank law firms for the services they provide.
