Trio of Gloucestershire firms on Sunday Times Fast Track list of Top 200 for overseas sales

Three companies from Gloucestershire have won a place on the Sunday Times list of firms with the fastest-growing international sales.

The 11th annual Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 League Table was published yesterday, detailing the 200 firms who have recorded the biggest leap in overseas sales.

Spectrum Medical from Staverton, Off-Piste Wines from Cheltenham and Cirencester-based Corin Group were the three Gloucestershire firms to make the list.

In top spot for the county was Spectrum Medical, who are based on Meteor Business Park next to Staverton Airport, who were a new entry for the 2020 list.

The firm provide high-performance technologies to the medical industry across the world - their heart-lung machines are used in hospitals across the planet.

Over the past two years, their overseas sales have risen by 64 per cent, with international sales forming £19million of the company's £26.2million revenues.

Just one place below them in 62nd place, was Cheltenham-based Off-Piste Wines, who made the list for the second year running.

The firm who are based on Royal Crescent in Cheltenham pride themselves in being somewhat different, claiming to be "not your average wine company."

Their small team of 25 staff helped record a similarly steady rise of 64 per cent of overseas sales ton £2.9million in the past 12 months. Off-Piste Wines currently post overall revenues of £39.6 million.

The third Gloucestershire entrant on the list in Cirencester-based Corin Group, a provider of orthopaedic implants across the world.

The Love Lane-based firm acquired US-based surgical robotics firm OMNI Life Sciences in March 2019, further enhancing their overseas sales.

Placed 118th on the list in 2019, they come in at 170th in this year's standings after recording a 33 per cent rise in overseas revenues.

Of their £114 million total revenues, Corin Group earn £106.2million outside of the UK.

The league table is sponsored by HSBC, DHL Express and Oracle NetSuite, and compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford-based research and networking events firm.
