Toys R Us to open high street concessions

Toys R Us is to make a return to the UK high street, with concessions in WHSmith stores.

Nine concessions will open in the first half of 2023, thanks to a deal between WHSmith and Toys R Us Anz, which holds the rights to the brand in the UK, as reported by Retail Gazette.

The concessions, which will include toys and games, will be rolled out to more WHSmith stores if they prove successful.

Toys R Us disappeared from the UK in 2018, when it went into administration.

The brand owner launched a new UK website last month, ahead of the crucial Christmas trading season.
