Gloucestershire 50 Leading Entrepreneurs – the September edition of Punchline magazine

At the core of this month's edition of Punchline's business magazine will be a list of the county's top 50 leading entrepreneurs.

Chosen from an extensive list put together by members of the county's business community, and then voted on by a select panel, the list will throw up some interesting surprises.

Revealing none of that list here, we can tell you the businesses they are responsible for generate untold millions for the Gloucestershire economy, not to mention the thousands of jobs.

And those who want to be part of what promises to be one of our most popular magazine's yet have until Monday (at the very latest) to say so.

"This edition sees us push the boundaries yet again as we seek to deliver as interesting and informative magazine as we can for the county and its business community," said editor of Punchline-Gloucester.com, Mark Owen.

"The list of the Top 50 Gloucestershire Entrepreneurs makes for fascinating reading, and no little debate, but it is only one part of what will be on offer.

"We have all the usual focuses - on engineering and manufacturing, commercial property and farming - as well as a special feature on the little talked about sector of the economy that deals with death. That looks at the funeral sector and all the associated trappings.

"The Police and Crime Commissioner's offices has also chosen our magazine through which to reveal its annual report, and for anyone interested in just how hard the police are working in Gloucestershire and what the budget is spent on, this extensive report will cover it.

"We would like to thank our sponsors, Tayntons Solicitors and Lister Unified Communications, and all the regular advertisers for helping make the magazine possible."

Some 15,000 copies of the magazine are delivered to every business on almost every business park you could think of in Gloucestershire, from Tetbury to Tewkesbury, from just outside the county in Ross-on-Wye, across the Forest of Dean, from the tip of the Cotswolds to Cheltenham and through Gloucester and the Five Valleys.

That also includes every high street.

As for this website, where an electronic copy of the magazine is eventually hosted, the daily newsletter has 7,000-plus subscribers and the website itself near 100,000 unique visitors a month.

Find another business news website in the county or the region which delivers such figures and penetration into its community and we'll eat our hats.
