Top 20 award for Gloucester home care provider

Quedgeley-based domiciliary home care provider First4Homecare Ltd has been named in the top 20 providers in the South West.

Home care review website Homecare.co.uk has published its annual award winners, recognising 20 of the highest-rated Home Care providers in each region of the UK and the Top 20 Home Care Groups in the UK based on reviews from clients and their family and friends.

And First4Homecare Ltd has come out on top for the third time in four years.

The business, owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Steve and Fiona Hodder, said its mission has always been to provide excellent care and support to people in their own homes in and around Gloucester, whilst also extending those same values to their staff.

Director and care manager Fiona Hodder said: "We are thrilled to once again be in the top 20 in the South West. This award belongs predominantly to our wonderful staff who deliver professional and high-quality care to our lovely clients every day.

"Our aim has always been to deliver excellent care in a friendly and supportive way and to act as 'an extra family member' where required to ensure that everyone around our clients, whom they wish to be involved, is kept informed.

"Care may range from a weekly social call to full end of life care and in every case, we seek to build superb relationships, so our visits are looked forward to and trusted.

"This award and the lovely comments made in our testimonials by our clients and their families bear testament that we achieve those aims and we will continually seek to improve and find new ways of working. It is especially poignant to us this year as we have continued to deliver care safely throughout the recent lockdowns and this has been due to the fantastic commitment and passion shown by our staff."

Formed in 2017, First4Homecare Ltd was originally part of a national home care franchise but became independent in July 2020. It said the owning and operation of First4Homecare is under-pinned by the Director's collective knowledge and experience in nursing, healthcare and logistics.
