Topps sales figures for tile retailer

Topps Tiles has reported that like-for-like sales are up by 1.8 per cent in the second quarter, bouncing back from a 1.4 per cent drop in the first quarter.

The retailer, which has stores in Cirencester, Stroud, Gloucester, Cheltenham and Moreton-in-Marsh, said overall like-for-likes were up by 0.2 per cent in the 26 weeks to 30th March, as reported by Retail Gazette.

But total revenue for the period fell slightly from £109.4 million to £108.8 million.

The company believes sales are benefiting from a later Easter this year and is feeling positive about its performance so far this year. It said the commercial side of its business is expanding quickly.
