Thieves break in to shop in Berkeley

Police are appealing for witnesses following a break in at a premise in Berkeley in the early hours of Monday (March 22).

Officers received a report that two men had smashed the front window of a shop before forcing open storage and stealing tobacco products at around 12.45am.

The offenders left the shop on foot and walked to a light-coloured vehicle parked in Stock Lane. The vehicle then turned left on to Salter Street, towards Lynch Road.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who has footage from CCTV, doorbell cameras or dash cams which may have captured it to contact us.

You can do this through the police website, quoting incident 17 of 22 March: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/us/a-crime-that-has-already-been-reported/. Alternatively you can call on 101.
