Conservative candidates fighting it out to lead their party heard the results of the first round just minutes ago.
Among them was Gloucestershire hopeful and outside chance, Mark Harper, MP for the Forest of Dean.
Some 313 Conservative MPs cast their votes in the ballot and the results were revealed by the party's 1922 Committee.
Each of the 10 candidates in the running needed to secure at least 17 of the votes to move to the next round.
Mr Harper fell at the first hurdle with just 10 votes.
Boris Johnson won with 114 votes and Jeremy Hunt came in second with 43.
Matt Hancock, Sajid Javid and Rory Stewart all made it over the line.
Andrea Leadsom, Esther McVey were also eliminated.
Seven candidates remain.
